Madhulika

Madhulika was born in Kolkata, the literary capital of India, in 1974. She completed her first degree in Economics and then Masters in Business Management. She worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for a while. She then became one of the youngest women entrepreneurs in India helping found a successful IT services company which today employs over a hundred people and has offices across India.

Marriage brought a shift to the Arabian Gulf and she has stayed and worked there as a Management Consultant and writer for nearly two decades. She has been actively associated with several social and professional organizations in Oman and Kuwait and is IT & Media secretary for the Kuwait Writers’ Forum.

Madhulika started writing at the age of 8 and writes in both Hindi and English. Her first book “Nazar Andaz(collection of Hindi poems) was published in 2017. Her second book “The Magician’s Rabbit” (collection of poems in English) is being released at VOW in 2019. She is presently busy on her fiction debut with a collection of short stories titled “The Second Winter”.

Madhulika is an accomplished public speaker and debater and runs creative writing and public speaking courses for young adults. She is currently pursuing studies in Vedic philosophy apart from volunteering with special needs children. She loves travel and adventure and is a licensed scuba diver. Politics always brings out her passionate side and a cookbook is never far from her hands.
