About the Author: 

"Dr A.P. Maheshwari, a graduate from Sri Ram College of Commerce, culminated his educational pursuit with an MBA in finance and Doctorate in Sociology (with a focus on intricacies of communal violence). Adorned with Govind Vallabh Pant award, he is known for his creative writings in English as well as Hindi, which are based on his vast real life experiences. An IPS officer of 1984 batch Dr Maheswari has headed important districts in U.P., besides handling several critical assignments. He has also worked with the CRPF in Assam and J&K as a Field Commander. Later, his services were placed with BSF. Having worked with the BSF as the head of operations, he rose to be the Chief of lead organization in Police Research & Development at the National level. He now holds the assignment of Special Secretary, Internal Security in Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. He has to his credit many service decorations including the President’s Police Medal for distinguished services, Police medal for Gallantry and special duty medals. He has been pro-active in community service, he is also associated with some well known NGOs, particularly in support of street children, the differently abled, senior citizens and cancer care.

Vineeta Chandak did her masters in Political Science and taught for a couple of years at various prestigious colleges in Rajasthan. Married to an industrialist, she presently resides at Gwalior. Now a competent home maker and an active community worker, she is also known for her freelance creative writings. Her earlier book ‘Into the oblivion’ which she had co-authored has won applause in several desired circles."
