Mini is in Standard 6, old enough to vote in the school elections. Soon, she has to help choose the school captain. Whom should she vote for?

Shabnam Minwalla is a popular writer of children's books in India. These include The Six Spellmakers of Dorabji Street, The Shy Supergirl and What Maya Saw. She regularly conducts workshops in schools around the country and has been a speaker at numerous literature festivals.

Mini has never voted before. Students can only vote after they reach Standard 6.

“You have to choose the best person for the job,” Arun says.
