Valley of Words (VoW) is a one-of-a-kind, not-for-profit and volunteer-driven initiative of The Valley of Words Foundation Trust, which has now become a pan-Indian celebration of writing and artistry. Over the course of the last 6 years, VoW has brought together writers, artists, critics, thespians, craftspeople, readers, and listeners in its Literature and Arts Festival, which also encompasses the annual Book Awards.

Valley of Words Shabdavali believes that literature and art have the potential to engage people of all age groups—especially students and the youth—to look beyond the immediate, place “facts” in perspective, question the "why", engage in lateral thinking, and explore options that have the potential of making the world a better place. A keen focus on intergenerational dialogue encourages the young and old alike to explore new passions, re-discover the art of listening, engage in critical discourse, and appreciate excellence in others!
