Haiku as a medium for both poetry and storytelling will be creative , as well as intlectually stimulating besides opening up the minds of students to the world of japanese tradition, art, culture and society. Traditionally, Haiku was considered a stiff juxtaposition of syllables. It was only at the turn of the 19th century that it was used in a more flexible form by writers like Ernest hemingway, whose writing style led the way for us to take this up as an activity based program with young and others alike. Theworkshop will span over an houlf and a half, and will be supported by power point presentation, to make it more fun and hence stimulate creativity
It will be an interactive engagement and Mona verma, the creative director of the workshop who shall be giving her books as prizes to those who show flair, promise and interest!
She is a much sought after Resource to leading schools and universities and Model United Nation Conferences across the country for workshops on Creative writing skills, Haiku poetry & storytelling.
